The 4F brand and the 4F Helps Foundation have been actively involved in helping Poles affected by the flood from the very beginning. In September of last year, just after the disaster left hundreds of families without a roof over their heads, OTCF SA, the owner of the 4F brand, donated 3,000 pieces of clothing for the residents of the Kłodzko Valley. At the same time, the company declared that 1% of the revenue from both physical and online stores in September and October would support the account of the 4F Helps Foundation, which will continue to assist Lower Silesia.
Thanks to this initiative, the 4F Helps Foundation, in cooperation with the Local Fund of the Śnieżnik Massif, organized a getaway for nearly 90 children from the Kłodzko Valley region in the form of two sessions: for high school students from the Complex of Secondary Schools in Bystrzyca Kłodzka (February 3-10) and for children from the Local Government Schools in Stronie Śląskie (February 7-13). To further support the local economy, the getaway was organized in areas affected by the flood. Hotels, restaurants, and other tourism facilities are still being rebuilt, fighting to restore former tourist traffic.
– We saw how important the help provided by Poles was for the residents of Lower Silesia after the flood. We were proud to contribute our part. But we also realized that the reconstruction of this region and the return to normalcy would take several years and require further gestures of solidarity. That is why I thank all our customers who shopped at 4F stores in September and October, as together we organized the winter break and brought smiles to many children's faces – said Igor Klaja, CEO of OTCF SA, founder of the 4F brand.
The winter break program was full of attractions and sports challenges. The children had the opportunity to ski and ice skate, visit the Bear Cave, participate in educational workshops and integration activities. Each child received a full set of outfits from the 4F brand – ski jackets and pants, gloves, hats, and sweatshirts. The caregivers also received clothing.
– This winter break is one of the best things that has happened to the children and youth from our flood-affected region. The students were able to escape from their difficult daily lives and experience a week full of joy and activity. The program was intensive – skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, first aid courses, creative and culinary workshops. It was a time not only for fun but also for acquiring new skills. Huge thanks to the 4F brand and its customers, because it was thanks to you that this winter retreat was possible – said Zuzanna Komornicka, Director of Cooperation and Communication of the Local Fund of the Śnieżnik Massif.
The 4F Helps Foundation works to equalize opportunities in the sports development of children and youth and to promote physical activity. The flagship project of the Foundation is the "In Reach of Sport" program, under which sports fields in small towns are being renovated to become multifunctional and modern sports facilities. Since 2021, five have been created, with more planned. The Foundation also runs scholarship programs, supports the sports development of children with disabilities, and organizes emergency assistance for those in need.
