Envirly Becomes 4F’s Technology Partner for Carbon Footprint and ESG Measurement

Urgent challenges related to sustainable development are not just slogans—they require real action. Aware of the apparel industry’s impact on the planet, 4F has partnered with Envirly, a Polish tech company specializing in carbon footprint management solutions.

Starting next year, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) will be gradually introduced across the European Union, requiring companies to report on sustainability matters, including their carbon footprint. Through its partnership with Envirly, OTCF S.A. (owner of the 4F brand) will be able to manage its environmental impact comprehensively, report on ESG topics, and measure carbon emissions across the entire value chain—facilitating adaptation to new regulations and improving carbon footprint estimation.

This partnership marks another step in implementing OTCF S.A.’s strategy, with ESG concerns at its core. Under the 4F Change program—an employee-driven initiative—4F has been running the Wear-Fair project since January 2022, with the aim of promoting sustainable fashion and gradually closing the loop on clothing circulation in Poland. 4F has introduced dedicated drop-off stations where customers can leave unwanted clothes, which are then renewed and reintroduced into circulation.

- We are excited that Envirly can support OTCF S.A. on its journey toward sustainable development – says Mateusz Masiak, CEO of Envirly.

An important focus for the brand will be supporting the aggregation of data from over 520 stores and its global supply chain. This will be made possible thanks to Envirly’s system, which enables the company to monitor sustainability metrics and analyze data across the production chain, including suppliers and manufacturing sites.

- Calculating the carbon footprint is the first step in the company’s transformation toward decarbonization, guided by the principle “you can’t manage what you can’t measure.” Carbon footprint measurement is the necessary starting point for defining strategy, identifying areas for intervention, and taking concrete actions. You could say the process begins with a thorough company audit. Data from various sectors and the entire supply chain is essential. Collecting some of this data is a real challenge. The methodology proposed by our project partner—Envirly—fully considers the challenges faced by our industry and offers appropriate, dedicated, and flexible tools – explains Wojciech Wieroński, Member of the Management Board of OTCF S.A. and the 4F Pomaga Foundation.

Thanks to high sustainability standards, the joint efforts of 4F and Envirly aim to positively impact the environment and ensure a better future for generations to come.
