The 4F brand, owned by OTCF S.A., has become a sponsor of the Silesia Kamila Skolimowska Memorial – the only Polish athletics meeting included in the prestigious Diamond League series. The event will take place on August 25, 2024, at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzów and will bring together the world’s top athletes.
Athletics is a key sport for 4F. The brand has been collaborating with the Polish Athletic Association since 2013, and this partnership has just been extended for another eight years.
– There is something that connects the Silesia Kamila Skolimowska Memorial and 4F. Both brands promote Polish sport worldwide, and that’s not the only reason we decided to join forces to elevate this event – said Igor Klaja, CEO of OTCF S.A. and founder of the 4F brand. – The Memorial is followed by athletes and athletics fans from around the globe. A strong marketing presence at this event will support 4F’s recognition on international markets and assist us in further expansion.
The Silesia Kamila Skolimowska Memorial has been held since 2009 in memory of Poland’s youngest Olympic champion, who passed away prematurely. The event has evolved from a local meeting on a side field of Warsaw’s Skra stadium into one of the largest athletics meetings in the world.
– This year marks the 10th anniversary of 4F’s collaboration with the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial. I remember our first meeting with Igor Klaja and the discussions about supporting this initiative. Since 2018, the Memorial has taken place at the Silesian Stadium. During the first edition at this venue, 41,200 fans filled the stands – the second-highest attendance at an athletics event in Poland since the Poland-USA match in 1958.
In 2022, the Silesia Kamila Skolimowska Memorial joined the Diamond League series, which features 15 of the world’s most prestigious athletics meetings, including those in Paris, London, Lausanne, Zurich, Brussels, Stockholm, Oslo, and Monaco. In 2023, the Memorial ranked second in the World Athletics meeting rankings, and the year before it was named Sports Event of the Year in the *Przegląd Sportowy* readers' poll.
