OTCF S.A., the owner of the 4F brand, has made a multifunctional sports field available to the local community. The facility is located at 12 Gdańska Street in Czeladź, next to the company’s Logistics Center. The grand opening took place on May 24 with the participation of local officials and representatives of the Polish ski jumping team.
In the official part, Będzin County Starosta Sebastian Szaleniec took part, who warmly welcomed the guests and handed a commemorative plaque to Julita Barnowska-Ptasik, Director of the OTCF S.A. Logistics Center in Czeladź. The Starosta was accompanied by Będzin Deputy Starosta Krzysztof Dudziński, Board Member of Będzin County Zdzisław Banaś, and Mayor of Czeladź Zbigniew Szaleniec.
- We are glad that the multifunctional field was established here in Czeladź. As a sportswear manufacturer, we especially care that children and youth have access to infrastructure that enables outdoor games and activities. I warmly encourage local schools, offices, and companies to make use of our field – said Julita Barnowska-Ptasik, Director of the OTCF S.A. Logistics Center in Czeladź.
Also present in Czeladź were athletes from the Polish Ski Association, a long-term partner of the 4F brand: Dawid Kubacki, Aleksander Zniszczoł, Maciej Kot, Paweł Wąsek, Tomasz Pilch, Jan Habdas, and Kacper Juroszek. Students and logistics center employees had the chance to get autographs from their favorite athletes and take commemorative photos.
About 80 students from schools in Czeladź and Będzin, as well as a group from the KS GÓRNIK SOSNOWIEC swimming section, had the opportunity to test the newly opened field. They competed in various events including long jump, basketball shooting, penalty shots on goal, shots hitting the crossbar, and mini-golf. The Polish ski jumpers supported the students with their cheering.
During the event, participants could also visit the 4F Change Workshop stand and take part in sustainable fashion workshops under the motto "Don’t throw away – repair, upcycle." The workshops offered a chance to create original projects using second-hand 4F clothes. Additionally, a clothing collection was organized. Each participant could bring unused clothes (from all brands) and place them in a special 4F Change container. During the event, 8 kg of clothing was collected, which will be cleaned, repaired, and resold.
The multifunctional field, measuring 17.5m x 37m, is adapted for football, volleyball, basketball, and tennis. The facility is open daily from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Reservations can be made via the website www.booksy.com/pro and the Booksy Biz Pro app.
