Their everyday work is on products for 4F stores. After-hours they pursue their own projects. A two-strong 4F Creative Team was selected among the brand’s designers in a competition for an original collection.
The retail collection available in stores and Olympic team collections are designed by a team of skilled 4F designers. With them in mind we created 4F Creative Team – a project enabling the realization of designers’ own ideas. The task was to create a "Sportswear of the future" collection. The works of Gabi Nikolov and Kuba Blimel were deemed most interesting. The prize for our young designers was creating their own collections, and organisation of a professional photo shoot, all costs covered by OTCF. Gabi’s collection titled "Defense Mechanisms", is vision of futuristic costumes for a women's lacrosse team, a sport derived from North American Indian tribes. The collection includes jackets inspired by lacrosse armour, forming a coherent whole in combination with trousers or skirts with similar shape and design motifs. The internal competition was the first attempt at designing clothes for Kuba Blimel, who designed the collection "Urban Survivor", inspired by a vision of a post-apocalypse future. The characteristic elements of the collection are broad cuts, face-coveringcollars, long tops and short, baggy trousers. Earth colours dominate: khaki, rust brown, graphite grey.
