Robert Lewandowski visits 4F and presents latest 4F×RL9 collection

Blending of sport and everyday life is the main inspiration for the latest 4F×RL9 clothing collection created by the Polish brand 4F and its ambassador Robert Lewandowski. The new line of clothes was presented duringpress conference held on Monday, 23 May in 4F SPOT in Warsaw. During the event, Robert Lewandowski and the representatives of 4F discussed, inter alia, how the collection has been created. The conference was hosted by Polish journalist, Piotr Kędzierski.

The meeting started with the discussion of the beginnings of the cooperation. One of the main topics of the interview was white sneakers, as it was Robert Lewandowski's dream to make them key element of the collection. 

- I remember my first meeting with 4F team, where we discussed what I fancy, what I like and then I already said 'white shoes'. I absolutely wanted them to be a part of my collection and I couldn’t imagine it to be any other way said Robert Lewandowski.  

- That’s true. If you wake me up in the middle of the night and ask what kind of shoes Robert likes, I will say without hesitation 'white'  - agreed Monika Czesak, Creative Director, OTCF, who had supervised the entire designing process from the beginning of the cooperation.

The very first model of 4F×RL9 shoes premiered in early May. The limited series sold out within just a few hours. Each of the first 200 pairs had Robert Lewandowski’s hand-written autograph attached to it. Regular model of the shoes, available in black or white, was marketed on 16 May. 

Beginnings of the 4F×RL9 cooperation

During the event, participants talked also about the beginning of the cooperation between the brand and the sportsman. 

- It has always been my dream to work with someone like Robert - said Igor Klaja, CEO of OTCF.

- Why did I decide to work with 4F? It wasn’t just because it’s a Polish brand. What’s important is that this brand is growing dynamically. I learnt about their ambitious plans, what they want to do, which direction they want to take. And it made me 'feel it'. I wanted to be sure that we were going in the same direction. That’s what has always been and still is most important - added Robert Lewandowski. 

Meanwhile, Monika Czesak, Creative Director OTCF, revealed how the RL9 collection had been created. The works started during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

- The first stage was about creating the identity of Robert's collection within 4F brand. Naturally, we wanted this line to stand out. We developed features that are and will appear in all Robert’s collections. We started to follow Robert’s style, what he likes. We developed new quality for our brand, i.e. premium product, a collection incorporating new technologies, new solutions, new shapes - said Monika Czesak. 

Clothes for a modern warrior

The latest collection includes high-quality timeless sportswear combining comfortable sportstyle clothes with functionality characteristic for training garments. In regards to colouring, the collection uses one of the most important colours of the 2022 spring/summer season – laurel green, while the presence of fresh shade of yellow highlights its summer character. The fabrics and sheer, breathable organic cotton make the clothes an ideal choice for the warmest months. 

Aspiring ideas

Common dreams, plans and ideas for the future were also discussed by the 4F×RL9 Team. 

- Sky is the limit. RL9 collection will become iconic. Not only will Robert go down in history as one of the greatest players in the world but also his collection will be continued. I’m honored to work with Robert and my team. I have a dream that Robert will be still satisfied and so will be the users of this product. I’d like us to prepare better collections year after year, I’d like them to be more and more technical, more and more beautiful, I’d like them to sell better and better said Igor Klaja.  

- I want our common collection to enjoy unwaning popularity even when I’m no longer an active athlete. I’d like every line of RL9 collection to grow, I want our common brand to be a guarantee of style and quality and I dream that in 10-15 years it will still be a collection that people will be eager to wear - said Robert Lewandowski.  

The Monday meeting was the first such event where Robert Lewandowski and 4F discussed their cooperation. The guests could also see all previous collections which were made available in 4F SPOT showroom.
