With Rio 2016 Olympic Games over, it is now time for Paralympic competitors. Sets for Paralympic athletes have been distributed at Warsaw’s Torwar complex, where 97 Polish team members had the opportunity of final individual fitting of sets, which is crucial for competitors with impairments.
Competitors collecting their sets included Paralympic champions Maciej Lepiato (long jump), Joanna Mendak (swimming), Ewa Durska (shot putt), Karolina Kucharczyk (long jump), Katarzyna Piekart (javelin), Patryk Chojnowski (table tennis) and Dariusz Pender (wheelchair fencing). This is the third time that The Polish Paralympic Committee and the 4F Brand are dressing Polish competitors and the Paralympic team for the Paralympic Games, and they ensured that time spent at Torwar was used most effectively. Final measurements and corrections were managed on site, with some items needing to be shortened, others slimmed. All operations were conducted by a team of seamstresses and staff responsible for distributing sets to Paralympians.
“When collecting clothing for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, OTCF staff were at hand to provide clothes fitting to individual needs,” said Justyna Kozdryk, from the Polish Paralympic weightlifting team. “With my short height and with other conditions of impaired athletes, a perfectly matched set of clothes not only helps you look good at the Paralympic Games, but – most importantly – lets you focus on what is most important: fighting for the best results at Rio.”
